Why test

The range on the dash isn't battery health.

The battery is the most expensive part of an EV, and it loses capacity slowly over the years. A health check tells you how much is left, measured rather than estimated.

Buying

Check before you pay

Meet us at the seller's place. You'll know the battery's condition before money changes hands.

Selling

Answer the first question

Share a recent, independent report with your listing. Buyers ask about the battery first.

Owning

Keep a record

See how your battery is ageing, catch a weak cell group early and keep the report with the car's history.

What does health mean in kilometres?

Move the slider to see roughly how much range a battery at that health level gives.

Estimated range today
450km
050 km less than new500

A simple estimate. Real range also depends on weather, speed and how the car is driven.

What's in your report

Readings, not guesses.

Each report covers the same five things, with a short note on what they mean for you. The examples below are samples.

01 · Headline figure

State of health

91% SAMPLE

How much of its original capacity the battery still holds. The single most useful number when buying or selling.

02 · Balance

Cell voltages

Whether every cell group keeps up. One lagging group shows up here before it shows up on the road.

03 · Heat

Module temperatures

Even temperatures across the pack, or hot spots worth watching.

04 · Faults

Battery fault codes

BMS · stored — none
BMS · history — listed in full

Any warnings the battery management system has stored, past or present.

05 · Our summary · sample

In plain English

"Battery health is good for the car's age. Cells are well balanced and no battery faults are stored."

What we can read varies by make and model. Tell us your car when you book and we'll confirm before we come out.

Questions

Good to know before you book.

Is the test safe for my car?

Yes. We only read data through the car's diagnostic port. We don't charge or discharge the battery, change any settings or open anything up.

How long does it take?

Usually about 45 minutes on site, depending on the car. The car stays parked the whole time.

Do I need to do anything before you arrive?

Have the car parked where we can reach the driver's side, with the key or phone key handy. No special charging is needed.

Which cars can you test?

Most popular EVs sold in Australia. What we can read varies by make and model, so tell us your car when you book and we'll confirm before we come out.

Is this a manufacturer warranty assessment?

No. It's an independent health check. If your report shows a problem, you can take it to your dealer or manufacturer as a starting point.

Why are bookings 2–3 weeks ahead?

We're a small local business and plan our test days in advance. We'll confirm your exact day and time beforehand, and if anything changes we'll tell you as early as possible.

What if I need to cancel?

That's fine and costs nothing. You don't pay until the test is done. Just let us know as soon as you can.

How do I pay?

After the test, before we send your report. We'll confirm payment options when we book your time.
